Curry Masala (Kitchen King):
Curry masala gets its origination from the Indian subcontinent, traditionally known as “Home of Spices”. This yellow-golden flavoring is spicy in taste and is mostly used to enhance the savour of dishes. This spice is a blend of spices and imparts taste and flavor in various culinary uses. Exotic Spices and herbs like cinnamon, cloves, mace, nutmeg, turmeric, pepper, cumin, tamarind, saffron, fenugreek combine together to form Curry masala. Blending of spices to form a new spice can be traced back to 4000 years ago during the days of Indus Valley Civilization when basic ingredients like ginger, garlic and turmeric were used for the purpose. Curry masala when added to recipes like paneer (cottage cheese) curries, butter chicken, onion tomato curry sauce makes it more appetizing.
